# Prerequisites

In order to create tests the following need to be taken care of :

1. Tests are organized in Modules - ensure a module is created first.
2. If you are creating a Business Component, ensure proper folder structure inside of Business Components folder to organize your components.
3. Determine the type of test - UI or API
4. If you want to make use of the very powerful Bq Genie to record your test (recommended way), ensure the client is installed and running.
