# How to setup Proxy?

### **Instructions to setup Proxy for BQ Client :**

1. Right-click on the bq client icon.
2. Click on *Setup*.

3. Click on *Proxy*tab.

   The below screen will be displayed.

4. Click on *Edit*button.

5. Select the *Enable http Proxy* checkbox & enter the below details (if they are not auto filled) :
   *Your Proxy Address*
   *Your Proxy Port*

6. If Proxy requites any authentication, select the *Proxy requires authentication* checkbox & enter the below details :
   *Your Proxy Username*
   *Your Proxy Password*
   *Retype Proxy Password*
   *Your Proxy Domain*

7. Select the below checkboxes as per your requirement :
   *Use same settings for https*
   *Ignore SSL Errors*

8. Click on Save button.

Now close the setup window & restart the client (*right-click on bq client icon* and then click on *Restart All*).

Start the recorder in the BQ Platform by clicking on the *Record*button and enter the desired url.
After entering the Proxy details, you should be able to access the desired url.

  If any server is running on a local system and it does not require proxy, then you can by provide the list of such url's in *Bypass url(s)* field.
Ex. Suppose the desired url is : https://hostserver.domain.com/path?p=1
Enter the url as : \*.domain.com
Save the settings & close the setup window. Restart the client & try accessing the desired url on BQ recorder.
